It’s rainy mornings like today, that make me want to just curl up in bed with a cup of coffee and a good book. Unfortunately, it’s only Thursday, so I’ll have to start getting ready for work soon but before I do I wanted to share this outfit post with one of my favorite button up shirts.
Button up shirts are my go to. They’re comfortable and easy, and can be dressed up or down. I love a nice soft cotton, that can easily transition from work days to weekends. Banana Republic has really great plaids and prints and I’ve found that Target has some really great chambrays that are SUPER soft and easy on the budget.
In case you missed my last currently coveting curated collection for Spring Fever, I have to say that I’m in serious need of a tropical vacation. With the recent Spring Break posts flooding my stream, it’s left me with some serious FOMO (fear of missing out). My hubs has been looking up vacation spots the last couple of weeks, and it’s got my head reeling with what to wear.
It’s no secret, I love a good deal. When my friend came into the office with these chic sandals on I had to tell her how cute they were. I don’t believe in holding back when I like something. I believe that if you think someone looks good you should let them know. So, when she told me they were Old Navy, my jaw dropped. I imidiately had to have them. Friday, I was in the Galleria area and saw that Old Navy sign and as soon as I did, these shoes came to mind. Lucky for me they were having a sale on womens apparel and accessories. I got these puppies for a whopping $22! So worth it. I can see myself wearing them throughout the spring and summer. They’re a good neutral so they’ll easily fit into my wardrobe.
“The trick is that as long as you know who you are and what makes you happy, it doesn’t matter how others see you.”
― Wendy Mass,
According to Snapchat, yesterday was International Happiness Day, so…
Totally kidding I had no idea. It’s really a coincidence but found it only fitting to elaborate on the subject.
Kept it all natural for date night with the hubs last weekend. It was a casual Friday night with dinner and a movie. You can never go wrong with basics. I like to keep it simple, so I can easily mix and match my pieces. The jeans I’m wearing here are an oldie but goodie that go perfectly with heels or tennies.
Sorry about the photo quality – it was pretty dark out by the time we snapped this.
